The Beacon Falls Youth Theater Company is a 501(c)(3) qualified tax-exempt nonprofit organization. The majority of the BFYTC's funds come from tax-exempt charitable contributions. Every donation is used to help provide youth the opportunity to experience all aspects of the performing arts. These include, but are not limit to, things such as: education literature, scripts, costumes, props, facility rentals, etc.
Donations also help us keep registration costs to a minimum. In fact, the BFYTC has one of the lowest registration costs of any youth theater program available. No donation is too small and every little bit counts. Whether you're a corporation, small business, or individual, your donations will have a positive impact.
Studies show that students involved in the arts have formidable academic benefits compared to students without exposure. Students involved in the arts also exhibit increases in motivation, as well as improvement in attitude, attendance, and overall academic performance.
According to Americans for the Arts, a student involved in the arts is:
- 4x more likely to be recognized for academic achievement.
- 4x more likely to participate in a math or science fair.
- 3x more likely to win an award for school attendance.
- 3x more likely to be elected to class office.
The positive effect on student development is just a drop of water in an ocean full of possibilities. The arts bring communities together. They inspire. They invoke courage, laughter, and love. They shape societies, break down barriers, and create worlds of pure imagination.
